Brian Viloria Wins WBO Flyweight Crown Against Omar Romero

Brian “The Hawaiian Punch” Viloria beats Mexican Omar Niño Romero in their boxing fight on Sunday, May 13, at the Ynares Sports Arena in Pasig City.

Viloria's victory puts him as the undisputed World Boxing Organization (WBO) flyweight champion.

The stint was sweet revenge for Brian Viloria who was fighting Omar Romero for the third time.

Viloria lost to Romero in August 2006. Later that year, they had a rematch which ended to a draw.

Third time’s a charm for Viloria who dominated Romero throughout the fight and ended the bout during round 9 to a technical knockout victory.

Viloria now has a record of 31 wins (17 KOs), 3 losses, and 1 draw. While Romero has 31 wins , 5 losses and 2 draws.
