A spokesperson for Katherine Jenkins has confirmed that the opera singer was forced to get in touch with the police after threatening messages have been sent to her on Twitter following her denial of an affair with David Beckham.
Jenkins took to the social networking web site on Friday to dismiss Twitter rumours that she&rsquod had a fling with the footballer and &ldquostraight afterwards&rdquo she was bombarded with menacing Tweets from her followers, 1 of which threatened to &ldquocut&rdquo her.
A source close to her divulged:
&ldquoShe was disgusted by the abuse simply because it was so sinister and scary.'
'When she saw the messages she straight away desired to defend herself by finding police involved.
'The risk to &lsquocut&rsquo her got to her the most. That man crossed the line.'
The message in question study : 'Honestly, and you all said my dislike of Katherine Jenkins was irrational (it is, and that b**** is acquiring cut if David and Posh split).'
Whilst another a single just stated : 'I'll kill that s*** Katherine Jenkins'.
Publicly Katherine isn&rsquot letting the backlash get to her immediately after getting the vile messages the singer posted a snap of herself in a recording studio yesterday only saying: 'Back to function #HappySaturday'.
