We had kind of thought that the rumours about John Travolta had calmed down; well it’s been a week or so since a masseur accused him of sexual harassment, but no, there’s more.
According to John’s secretary, who worked for him between 1978 to 1994, Joan Edwards, the actor had a secret six-year affair with his male pilot, Doug Gotterba.
The affair reportedly ended because he piled on too much weight and suffered with personal hygiene problems (as if it couldn’t get any worse for the guy, he’s now accused of smelling).
Anyway, here’s what Joan had to say: "Doug is a wonderful guy and we are still good friends. He told me they had a sexual relationship.”
The claim had also been backed up by Doug’s ex boyfriend Robert Britz: “Doug told me he’d had a homosexual relationship with John in the 1980s.
"Doug said John was constantly grabbing at him, but he put up with his sexual advances because working for him was lucrative.
“But John’s advances eventually started to repulse him.
"Doug said he hated sleeping with John as his body was very hairy and he didn’t like the way he smelled.
"John would also become very heavy between movies.
"Doug said he was huge and it turned him off. The relationship ended shortly thereafter.”
John or his legal team have not commented on the latest allegations as of yet. We can’t possibly imagine what’s going to come out of the woodworks next.
There are more twists and turns in his past, than in his dance routines in Saturday Night Fever and that’s really saying something.
