UPDATE: Nicole Scherzinger confirmed for X Factor role

UPDATE-Nicole-Scherzinger-confirmed-for-X-Factor-role

In a highly original move that is set to surprise almost nobody, the producers of X Factor have decided to fill the show’s vacant fourth judge role with somebody who’s already been a guest judge on the show and has already been a full-time judge in the American version of the programme.

Sources have told one of the tabloids that the role - hitherto filled by guest judges - will be taken over permanently by Nicole Scherzinger, of former Pussycat Dolls and current Lewis Hamilton-other-half fame.

The unimaginative producers of X Factor had initially offered £500,000 to Nicole for job, but when she saw that negotiations with Dannii Minogue had reached the £1million mark (before she then pulled out) she put her foot down and shouted “More! More! More!” (well, probably anyway).

So after collectively emptying out their pockets and having a rummage around in ITV’s petty cash drawer they went back with a deal of £750,000 and Sherzy accepted and is now due to start the job on Monday.

“Nicole’s management have negotiated a good deal,” an excited sounding source told The Mirror. “It’s a great salary considering most of the auditions have already been done by special guests.”

Pah! We won’t even get out of bed if someone’s offering us less than £1mill… (who are we kidding; £5 and we’re anyone’s usually)

UPDATE: As suspected Nicole Scherzinger has confirmed she’s the new X Factor judge, in a statement she said: “I'm so excited to join the UK X Factor family. It's where I got my start, so it feels great to come full circle. I can't wait to see what talent the UK has to offer and to help inspire and bring out the best in these artists."

She also added that she’s excited about the extra money as she could do with having a new bathroom because the old one’s quite outdated (probably).
