It’s all kicking off with American Idol right now, it’s reminiscent of our (as in the Uk's) recent X Factor judge saga (you know the whole ‘who was going to replace Kelly Rowland’ thing).
So on Thursday Steven Tyler confirmed he will be leaving the popular show after just two ‘seasons’ and J-Lo has hinted that she might be leaving too.
Now Randy Jackson (you know the guy us UKites don’t really know) is also thought to be moving on, well he’s apparently going to take on a mentoring role rather than being an official judge.
A source revealed: "[Show producers] think they need to freshen everything up now,"
And here’s the exciting part. Mariah Carey, who’s manager is actually Randy (oh so that’s what he does) could be the lady for the job.
"They are in serious talks with Mariah and it's very close to being a done deal," the source says. "And they will move Randy into a more mentoring role."
Yes it’s all very well filling one space but what about the other two? So far Fergie and Adam Lambert are names flying around.
We’ve just thought if Mariah did become a judge she would be joining her hubby Nick Cannon, who hosts the show. We’re not sure that’s such a good idea, we all know what they say about mixing work with pleasure.
